Here are handy tools that don't fall into any category. Call them multi-purpose.

  1. Clipy This tool can save the contents of your clipboard up to 50 times. It is convenient whenever you are copy-pasting. You can download it here. Find the GitHub repository here.

    Ctrl + V lists the items in your clipboard history.

    Please note that you can exclude 'clips' from certain apps, like your password manager (See Exclude tab)

    If you have 10 dollars to spare. Paste2 is an excellent alternative.

  2. Dropbox Download it here or by running brew cask install dropbox. Sign in or up. Something nifty you might want to add is setting screenshots to save in Dropbox. Once you've installed Dropbox, press CMD+Shift+3 and allow this. Otherwise, screenshots are held on the desktop.

    Still on screenshots for you to select what portion of the screen you want to grab, press CMD+Shift+4, drag and release.

    CMD+Shift+5 creates a larger screenshot area with options for recording a video of the screen too.

  3. Bandwidth+ If you want to check your internet speed and manage your internet consumption, install it here.

  4. Rectangle Your mac is a tool, and you can quickly open many app windows. Aside from expanding an app's window to full screen, rectangle helps you arrange the app windows easily with Keyboard shortcuts (No mouse). Soon you'll not enjoy using your mac without it. You can get it here or by running brew cask install rectangle.

  5. Apple TV screensaver on your mac - Aerial Aerial brings you the fantastic Apple TV screensaver to your mac.

    Since Mac Mojave, Aerial also makes the login page background show breathtaking videos.
